Descripción
Reverse osmosis is a technology that takes advantage of the ability of certain semi-permeable membranes to separate dissolved substances from water.
The pressure of the water supply forces the water through the membrane; the pure water (filtered) is so separated from the water containing dissolved salts (concentrate).
The highest-performing osmotic membranes (those constructed with polyamide and polysulphone) act as a bar-rier not only for salts and other inorganic substances, but also for organic substances with molecular weights greater than 100; they therefore constitute an excellect defense against micro-pollutants, pesticides, pyrogenic materials, viruses and bacteria that may be contained in water.
This technology has been available only recently for water treatment but has quickly proved its worth, and in a short time has been widely adopted due to its characteristics of versatility, excellent performance, and ease of use.
- Pure water, always available
- Free of salts and harmful substances
- Very low cost of use: from 1-2 euro-cents per litre
- Easy to use
- Ecological
- Works without electricity and without chemical additives
- Does not require a pump, uses only the pressure of the water supply
Features
Sedimentation filter for particles up to 5 microns
Activated Carbon processed with acid treatment targeted for water purification
Osmotic membrane with capacity of treating 50 gallons per day*
(1 gallon = 3.785 litres)
*Membranes tested at 25? C, 4.8 bar, 2000 ppm as standard testing conditions
Due to operating conditions that are different to these standards under which the tests were carried
out, actual production may be approximately half of the theoretical
