Introducing the Meliflor Onland watering pots. The oldest and most effective automatic watering system known to mankind. Its action is based on a slow release of water and nutrients, which represents potential savings in terms of these elements. The slow release of water prevents the evaporation waste common with other systems, allowing plants to absorb almost 100% of the nutrient solution.
Onland pots can be the most appropriate irrigation system for growing in arid areas with very low humidity. They can also be used for guerrilla growing or simply as a safety method during vacations. The small holes characteristic of fired red clay fill with micro-droplets of water that escape from the interior directly to the root zone of the plants.
The roots grow around the clay pot, anchoring themselves to the surface to absorb the water they need at the moment they need it. The moisture in the soil is always available for the plants. This can save between 50-70% on water. Fertilizer costs are also reduced, since applying fertilizer in the pots reduces the application area and the plant absorbs it from the pot.

With this model, it is not necessary to completely bury the pot; simply place it on the surface of the soil or pot until it remains stationary. Once secured, fill with water and that's it. Soil moisture should be monitored and refilled only when soil moisture loss is evident.
