Mycorrhiza in Greek means "root of the mushroom". It is a symbiosis between specific plants and fungi. In nature, Mycorrhiza mushrooms are necessary for the survival of all plants. They are perfectly regulated to find water and minerals in the soil and transfer them to the plant. Through photosynthesis, the plant will create the carbon connections it needs which, in turn, will feed the fungus. Both partners profit from each other, which is why more than 99% of plants enter such a symbiosis.
These fungi grow in and around the root of the plant. From the root, they pass into the ground and create a dense network of thin mushroom threads. This increases the size of the root system thus improving the absorption of water and minerals, such as phosphorus, potassium and trace elements. Fungi can reach soil pores that are too small for plant roots and can make plant-related elements available.
Put 3 to 5 grams per plant at the time of transplanting.
