Silicon represents 28% of the earth's crust and plants assimilate it in the form of silicic acid formed by the action of acids and enzymes produced by organic matter. It is a product that decays easily due to leaching, so we must be careful not to let it decay.

Hydrolyzed silicic acid forms mono silicic acid which is absorbed by plants, increases the absorption of phosphorus by 40-60% by reacting with it and making it assimilable. The insoluble phosphates of aluminum, iron, magnesium and calcium precipitate and release the ion orthophosphate which is absorbed by plants. Silicon is a very effective preventive against diseases, fungi and insects thanks to its ability to increase the mechanical resistance of the epidermal cell walls. The silicon is absorbed by the plant in the xylem, when the water is consumed by the plant, the silicon creates crystals that form a protection.

Increases resistance to adverse conditions, too cold, heat, dryness, salinity and mineral toxicity. We would have a better growth and a great fertility of the pollen produced. The silicon acts as a containment barrier in areas where the plant is infected with fungi, this accumulates preventing the entry of the fungus, but it is absolutely important that the silicon is present in order to act immediately. In the cell walls of the roots it acts as a preventive against attacks by parasites and pathogens.

It has a great interaction with calcium and magnesium favoring its mobilization and avoiding nutrient blocks. It is essential in soils with PH below 6.0 and above 7.0 by increasing cation exchange and helping to regulate the pH of the substrate. To get the best result, the soil must be moist when applying the product. Curiosity: We have observed that trichomes are composed of between 13 and 60% of silicon, and these represent the main mechanical barrier that the plant develops to protect itself from solar radiation.

The application can be two ways: As a protection against fungi, applying it directly on the cut of the stem so as to produce silicon crystals. As irrigation so that it is absorbed directly by the plant. It is essential in hydroponic crops due to the large number of problems that can be produced by fungi and the absence of silicon in this type of crops. Particularly recommended also in coconut fiber and in any type of crop that we want to protect and of which we want to improve the cation exchange capacity in the system.

Dosage: 0.1 to 0.3 ml per 1 liter of water.
