Description
Lepinox Plus is a biological insecticide based on Bacillus thuringiensis kurstaki, a naturally occurring bacterium found in the soil. It works by ingestion and is used to eliminate the larvae of lepidopterans that infest garden and vegetable plants, such as tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, lettuce, artichokes, spinach, cabbage, olive trees, stone fruit trees, pome fruit trees, strawberries, and many others. It is particularly effective against moths, noctuids, tortricids, cabbage worms, codling moths, and all larvae that infest our plants.
The product is completely harmless to humans, plants, and animals, and is compatible with organic farming. It is non-toxic to beneficial insects, such as bees and ladybugs, thus helping to maintain the ecosystem balance in the garden.
Lepinox Plus works best when the larvae are in their early stages of development, as they are more voracious at this time. After ingesting a lethal dose of the product, the larvae immediately stop feeding, reducing damage to the leaves, although they may remain on the plants for several days before dying. During this period, the larvae move slowly, discolor, and curl up.
The recommended dosage is to dilute 5g of the product in 5 liters of water, which should then be sprayed on the leaf surfaces, ensuring complete coverage of both the upper and lower sides of the leaves. Treatment should be applied at the beginning of the infestation, providing effective protection without causing further damage. The withholding period is 3 days.
It is recommended not to mix Lepinox Plus with other plant protection products or foliar fertilizers. The product's packaging is fully recyclable, facilitating proper disposal thanks to the environmental labeling on the packaging.
